The bagged beverage e.g. bagged water uses food grade disposable composite packaging bag, the cost of which is lower than that of bottles. Moreover, the secondary pollution to the beverage or drinking water can be avoided by using such bags. Today bagged beverage has become popular in many countries and areas for its cleanliness and portability.
The beverage bags are usually made of flexible plastic composite films, which may suffer external compression during the storage or transportation. Sometimes when they are compressed by external force or in stacking process, the bags may be broken. That’s why the beverage manufacturers shall strengthen the compression resistance test of those bags used for beverage.
This article discusses how to test the compression resistance of beverage bags for the reference of related users. The testing instrument is Link Testing’s KYJ-10K Box Compression Tester.
